About Goulburn Valley Kart Club

The Goulburn Valley Kart Club (GVKC) is one of Australia’s longest-standing kart racing clubs, with roots stretching back to 1959 — just a few years after the sport first came to Australia. This legacy gives GVKC a deep connection to the growth and evolution of karting in Victoria and beyond, and its home at the Numurkah Kart Raceway is renowned within the karting community for its welcoming country atmosphere and spirited competition.

Situated just northeast of Numurkah, the nimble circuit provides a challenging yet accessible venue for karters of all ages and abilities. The club regularly hosts competitive racing, social events, and community-focused activities, making it a hub for both lifelong racers and those new to the sport.

GVKC has a proud tradition of presenting major events that attract drivers from across the region. Historically, the Australasian Kart Titles — famous for awarding coveted Red Plates — has been a highlight on the club’s calendar and a testament to GVKC’s status as a premier racing venue. These events brought together competitors from multiple states and showcased the club’s capacity to deliver high-profile racing experiences that sit alongside state and national championships.

Today, GVKC plays a key role in the Golden Power Series, one of Victoria’s flagship regional racing series. The club annually hosts a round of this series, drawing a wide field of competitors and contributing to a high level championship that celebrates excellence across cadet, junior and senior classes alike.

GVKC is more than a race track — it’s a welcoming community. Whether you are stepping into karting for the first time, returning to the sport, or racing competitively, the club offers opportunities to grow your skills, make connections, and share in the excitement of motorsport. New members, drivers, families, and supporters are always encouraged to join and experience everything GVKC has to offer.
