Motorsport Australia extends an invitation to junior karters to attend our upcoming Girls on Track event on Monday 8th of March at the State Motorcycle Sport Centre in Broadford. Girls on Track is part of the combined Shannon’s International Women’s Day event with Motorcycling Victoria and Race Chix, which aims to get more women and girls to come and try motorsport, either in motorcycling or on 4 wheels.
The Girls on Track activities are open for ages 8 to 18 and is free to attend. The activities will run from 10am to 12.30pm.
With appearances from FIA Girls on Track Ambassadors Shannen Kiely (Erebus Motorsport Managing Director) and Kate Peck (Motorsport and media personality), attendees will be able to get hands on with the latest racing simulators and test their skills at the exciting pit stop and reaction challenges.
Motorsport Australia runs the FIA Girls on Track program here in Australia and aims to help girls aged 8 to 18 from around Australia understand the opportunities that await them in the motorsport industry, whether it is as a driver, engineer, mechanic or one of the many other roles in a growing industry.
