It was great to see Mildura Kart Club member Brock Hand and his family back on track and racing again at the Victorian North West Titles at Mildura at the weekend after their kart trailer was stolen and set fire to by thieves earlier in the year.
Brock put in a great return drive on his home track to pick up an excellent 3rd place result in the Cadet 12 class!
With the help and hard work of many contributors to Brocks gofundme page from all around Australia, friends and family, and local businesses, sponsors and suppliers including Total Tools, Tony Kart Australia, Penrite Oil Australia, Mildura business the Cider Tree Mildura Ale House and Kitchen, Bruce Ginn Jewellers, VHRR Victorian Historic Racing Register who had the Hand family down at the Phillip Island Classic Festival of Motor Sport meeting, Brock even received a personal letter of encouragement from Mark Webber that all contributed to helping the family get through this tough time.
To show how thankful Brock is to everyone that helped his family get him back to the track, Brock has even listed all the names of the contributors on his helmet paint scheme.
Well done to everyone that got around Brock and his family it was great to see everyone in the karting and motorsporting communities get around one of our own and help get them back into the sport they love!
Good luck to Brock and the family for the forth coming races.
