2025 Victorian Kart Championship at Oakleigh Go-Kart Racing Club results and race report


290 drivers from all over Australia and abroad competed over 3 days across 11 classes in extremely hot and sunny conditions at the 2025 Victoria Kart Championship March, 7, 8, 9 held at Oakleigh Go Kart Racing Club, Clayton, Melbourne the club of current McLaren Formula 1 driver Oscar Piastri, where he built his skills and experience as a young cadet and junior racer.

The weekend coincided with International Women’s Day and as always a huge thank you and appreciation for all of the incredible women that are apart of our sport!

Cadet 12

Koda Singh got out in front to go and cross the line 2.8 seconds ahead of Knox Black 2nd and Alana Gurney 3rd.

KA3 Junior Heavy

Local Chris Low had a great battle in the final with Anthony Poullos and Max Johnston, Chris holding on to take the win and take his first Victorian State Championship plate.

KA3 Senior Light

Jace Matthews was pushed all the way in the final by local driver Christian Sasso with Christian Estasy right there with them, Matthews taking the win.

TaG 125 Heavy
Tom Hughes was able to get clear of the field and take the win in TAG 125 Heavy.

KA3 Junior Light

An enthralling final in KA3 Junior Light would see multiple lead changes with Braxton Regan and Maxim Kirwan duking it out with an exciting last lap pass at the end of the main straight Maxim crossing the line first, but was relegated to 2nd post race with 1st place to Braxton Regan.

X30 Light

Jace Matthews made it 2 Victorian State plates with victory in X30 Light.

Cadet 9

Ari Djemil and Felix Sim put on one of the best finals of the day with multiple lead changes and a last corner pass with Ari taking taking the win, Felix 2nd and Milan Sami in 3rd.

KA2

Liam Carr took the lead from Braxton Regan and took victory by 2 seconds ahead of Harry Bresnehan.

KA3 Senior Medium

Zach Findlay battled early with pole sitter Jackson Souslin-Harlow fighting for position at the hairpin would see Souslin-Harlow Harlow go around and Findlay going on to take victory ahead of Oakleigh local Wayne Bourke.

TaG 125 Light

Amos Orr was able to get a break away from the field in the final and went on to take victory ahead of Jacob Dowson and Dallas Greene.

Victorian Combined Masters

Tassie State champion Mark Seddon raced hard with local Peter Gigis for the majority of the final, Peter holding on to cross the line first and take his 2nd ever State Championship plate and his first in over 10 years ahead of last years defending champion Ian Branson and Mark Seddon finishing 3rd.
