LET'S GET BACK TO RACING,

BACK TO KARTING!

$24718 RAISED BY THE 2026 PINK PLATE LADIES KARTING EVENT AT ALBURY-WODONGA KART CLUB FOR BREAST CANCER NETWORK OF AUSTRALIA (BCNA)

A record amount of 79 lady drivers from all around the country competed recently in hot and sunny conditions at Australia’s biggest women’s karting event the 2026 Pink Plate at the Albury-Wodonga Kart Club January 23 to 25.

Like pervious years the event was supporting Breast Cancer Network of Australia (BCNA) by raising donations and awareness for the organisation.

Each year the event acknowledges who were the 2 highest fundraisers and this year the “Princess” of fundraising was Madysen Fleming from Wagga Kart Club NSW and the “Queen” of fundraising was Lucinda Thomas from Albury-Wodonga Kart Club Victoria, well done to everyone who was raising funds, donated or contributed to this years event.

The club put on dinner at the local Wodonga RSL on the Saturday along with the raffle sponsors $300 worth of gift vouchers from DPE Kart Superstore, Tools from Total Tools Wodonga, Ez Jug Combo from Revolution Racegear, gift card from Bunnings, car care kit from Supercheap Auto Wodonga, GNT Racewear donating $30 from every set of special Pink Plate gloves sold with proceeds going to the fundraising effort.

With the extreme heat of 40+ predicated for Sunday the officials decided to cut back the number of laps of racing with many of the finals going right down to the line to crown each classes champions.

Thank you to TMT Custom Design and Creative 48 for providing this years trophies, Kartbay.com.au for their complimentary Pink Plate balaclavas, Vision Screenprinting for the Pink Plate shirts, banner and backdrop around the circuit and St George Kart Centre, Patrizicorse and Karting Australia for providing tyres for the random tyre draw, along with Chloe Potter from Kartstars Design for providing helmet design vouchers for cadet, junior and senior sportsmanship.

It was a fantastic effort by all of the drivers, putting on some great close and clean racing across the weekend, well done to everyone at the event and the club for pulling through in the heat, all of the race officials and volunteers for doing a fantastic job as always, all of the class sponsors for sponsoring each class and everyone who raised some funds for a great cause.

The Albury-Wodonga Kart Club and Karting Victoria / Karting Australia hopes to continue the momentum into next year and continue to grow the event and hopefully set yet another entry record, so we invite all lady and girl racers to get involved and be apart of it if they can in 2027.
